Crying out into the wind
the season’s changing,
along with all the cares in the world.
We find ourselves cast aside
& all I want is to pull you back,
back into my arms once again.
Standing at the shore,
I long to bother you,
& tug on your beard.
I want to knock you down,
roll around through the waves
and land right on top.
Toss the sand between your hairs,
our clothes salty and wet,
while the ground sinks below us.
Melt the distance between,
dissolve the silence held within
while watching waves in unison.
Hold onto this daydream
for we know the surge will never stop
with its relentless power flowing carelessly.
